I might take you up on that. I've got some newly refurbished SAEs from baja designs to the updated SAE version. They are still in the box, all new hardware etc. I've decided to not mess with the pocket bumper lights and just do some behind the grill sports. Ill post up a picture of them tonight.
I wouldn’t pay more than 30K for anything 7 years old with over 100K miles. You won’t have to worry that much about resale value, the first owner or 2 took the 40K depreciation hit. Raptors don’t tend to ever sell in the lower 20s if they are clean.
It’s cool it’s cool lol. Nah never been against them, it is wild the slide of hand ford did by having brand new SCAB raptors with cloth seats for mid 50s to a “base” raptor costing 79K (and you can’t even find those). Really a base raptor is 81K these days. A SCAB doesn’t work for me on road...
Also for the mechanic to say the failure happens "typically" at 20K+ miles, Its a mighty small sample size with most Gen 3s being under 20K miles. I had an Xterra a while ago that had a near 100% failure rate of the transmission fluid mixing with the coolant causing immediate transmission...
There is a coworker of mine with a prius just like this, could easily afford anything under 100K but is super proud of his moldy prius. He is always wanting to take everyone to lunch in it, the 4 of us decline and take the Raptor.
I can't even imagine how weird that would look. That would be like the sort of tires they'd use to move trucks around at the docks for transport, before they install the real ones. I believe thats the same tire size that came stock on my 4runner lol.
A 265 would look pretty weird on a Raptor. Any variation of 35 or 315 should be considered the minimum. Also that would change the gearing quite a bit, likely suck as much gas riding along at 3K rpm on the hwy as you'd save on those tires. You better prepare for bingo cards and a flame...
At this point 23s should go for slightly under MSRP, what Id worry more about are all the dealer add ons/weird fees. Those can be easily thousands, making an MSRP or under truck still over MSRP. im done working with dealers that slap on paint film, nitrogen, and "lojack" for 3500 bucks.
If I were you I’d get an airtag, hide it somewhere and disable the anti stalking alarm on it. If you see your truck on the move, time to grab the boys and get your truck back.
We’ve got an, all things with a V8 are better than all other vehicles no matter what, opinion going on here. This blind obsession with the 5.0 being in the raptor is tiring.
Saying you don’t drive it often and very short trips (groceries) can be bad on batteries. If that voltage isn’t spot on all sorts of mess can happen. If that burning smell wasn’t happening, that would 100% be the fix IMO. Alternators that are messed up can cause a mess too. Does it smell...
Well yeah that was at the tail end of the used car hysteria and that is the perfect sorta resale mileage. Good luck selling a 2020 these days for anywhere near what you paid with 40+K miles. You probably sold at the exact perfect time, or got your 2020 for way under MSRP. My 2020 I traded...
