    This is exactly right, I had the issue on my first set of K02's - See issue number 2 and my alightment was a bit off, but corrected so i attributed it to that. I have a second set now I'm probably 25-30k into and guess what, perfect alignment and same issue.

    I did mine from brand new so I had a good base to start. I ususally just hit it with a warm pressure washer best I can. I never put a degreaser on it because I figure I dont want to remove the base coat that is there, I just want to go over it best I can..... All depends how much time/effort...

    what is "normal" coolant temp on a gen 2

    Im 194-198 at Idle now after replacing my thermostat, had a sticky one after cam phaser replacement. Running down the road im 199-210 solo after coming off boost up a slight grade and head wind. When I had a sticky thermostat id hit 232 and be normal in the 212-218 area.

The truck runs 194-198 idle and after boost best I could get it to peak at was about 207 while running forscan. So I expect towing I'll be well under the 226 to get it to show on the...

    The interesting thing here is if you have the noise, they are not supposed to update the program just do new hardware as the parts are updated to work with the orginal PCM calibration. Also the new program was often causing issues but you had to have it done prior to the date like FordTechOne...

    I have a 19 350R as well. At speed I usually run around 205 coolant temp even if I'm on it a bit. Sitting it can hit 220. That being said completely different animal from the 3.5 Twin Turbo and different application. I'm going to do a new thermostat because its easy and see where we are.
