How's the raptors AC in 110+?

We run out west every summer in the desert. AC stays ICE cold.

What happens if you don't change the cam phaser?

Yea i feel ya. That makes sense on the hot idle. Some of us have had bad luck with Manufacturer programs in the past. Many that dont work, ie freezing door locks. I cant get calibration engineers to completely agree with all of this either, so everyone still seems to have their own opinion...

What happens if you don't change the cam phaser?

I guess what I don't understand then, is why did ford want the calibration done if you already had the rattle to see if that fixed it before moving on to hardware replacement. The sad thing is if we are debating all of this, can you imagine how the layman feels? What a mess up on Fords part.

    Joining the club....

Honestly, Raptors are the best all around vehicle out there and a hoot to drive off road. Comfy for travel, throw the kids in there no problem. Haul a boat (albeit not for heavy towing). I've loved my 18 for the 7 years I've had it. Keeping it, and picked up a Maverick hybrid for daily...

No graphics is the best graphics! Too bad its just a delete these days. When I got my Gen 2 it saved me like 2k.

Why so many leaks @ 40k miles?

yep passenger side axle seal, super common, but mine was like 80k. I also had front pinion seal recently at 105k, but not the transfer case / trans yet :)

RPG Collar help. 2.25 or 3" with stock rear

You do not want 3 inches. I suggest 1.5. I have the adjustable collars. I did the second ring up and its right about 1.5 inch lift up front with the OEM springs. It preloads them enought but no too much. I still have about .75 inches of rake which I like. You can get 1.5 collars as well...

I've Owned my Raptor for 2 Months, It's been at the dealer for Most of it

The only advice I can offer is 2 things 1) Electrical issues are the worst 2) Start with a stupid list.. ie whats the stupidest thing it could be, because often its not what it seems. Don't get tunnel vision on one area. I know those are vague but the second has helped me more times then you...

Fox Blue - 18 Raptor OEM Shock Color

So, the dealer when the swapped some shocks for me beat up the perch down to the aluminum pretty bad in mulitple places. They are sending me new shocks but I dont feel like pulling these off because they are just rebuilt and perfectly find to use for the time being. That being said, to cut...

I'm guessing we are going to have to wait/see what the next gen raptor gets for shoes.... If same size, usign them on older gen will probably generate a similar ride. I really like the C , E is too stiff for me on this truck

What happens if you don't change the cam phaser?

So, what this guy is talking about is exactly when mine failed and I got caught up in. This states that its transmission shutter, @FordTechOne , i assume that was proven to not be the case. All my friends at Ford during this time said don't do the PCM calibration, it was a bandaid and the...

Any experience fighting a total decision and/or retaining a totaled Raptor

I have only seen 2 totaled cars in my lifetime, but I have also had good luck with payouts. My neighbors 2018 F150 just totaled out and I think he got more than a fair value.

How many miles can I expect to get from a 2018 Raptor?

These comments about the shocks are 100 percent inaccurate. Not only does the fluid break down but also they lose nitrogen charge and dont have a away to recharge them on the oem shocks without a rebuild. My truck started to get sloppy about 40k miles on the shocks each time. To me its...

Any experience fighting a total decision and/or retaining a totaled Raptor

Always accept the total and take the $$ if its of fair value. They are never the same and life happens.
