The graphics are for insecure owners who need to advertise they have an "R". I didnt order them on my 21', and will remove them from my R when its delivered (sometime this decade I hope).
I do agree it may diminish the "collector value" of the truck, but who cares its not that special, just...
They are out there for sure at close to MSRP. Just look around you will find one. If your a good hunter you will score one at MSRP, or wait until fall/winter and you may even more choices.
I had the Recaros in my Gen2 and loved them. Had 35k on it when I traded it for the gen3 and the seats looked great despite kids really abusing them. I should have ordered them on the gen3.
I'm thinking of picking up another gen3 (my 21" sold) until my R is delivered (one day in the next century) ...is the 37pp worth the extra money or can you just do springs and bolt on your own 37s? There are a few 22' 37pp out there left on the market, they included the must have heated steering...
It never hurts to call and offer MSRP. You can see prices coming down, but I'm not sure what will happen if supply becomes more limited.
Question...is the 37pp worth it? Would it be better to just change springs and put 37s on a regular truck?
Go with the Recaro seats. I had them in my 19', when I traded it with 35-6k mi on it they still looked good. I didnt order them on my 21', but glad they are standard on the R or would have optioned them anyway.
