Pick your partner ASAP. If you are at the dinner the night before, it's a good way to find someone with your skillset, personality etc. It will make your drive day that much more enjoyable.
Also dont forget that GoPro. They let you mount on the truck. I premounted on mine so it was setup...
Anker still had about 15% left while I left the Netgear in truck using it's own lithium battery. Netgear battery had 75% left. I think this combination can easily do 12 days before having to be recharged.

Somewhat related but if you ever attended Raptor Assault, they talk about driving the truck through mud/water and we were cautioned to not "plunge" into the water/mud mixture because it will get on all parts under the hood including the fan belts and fan motor. They said they will know if...
Checked this morning (04/19/19) and the Anker is at approximately 20% battery life left so it should last another 1 to 2 days given the HOTSPOT has it's own lithium battery. So this setup will get you about 8-10 days of coverage.
Interesting enough, when in "parked" mode it starts to OVERHEAT right around 9 - 10 am and the outside temp is about 68F so I believe the OVERHEAT is not caused by environmental factors but the unit itself is generating too much heat when it operates in "parked" mode which is silly because that...
Thanks but it gives the same OVERHEATING with the Blackvue MicroSD Card 16GB.
Blackvue has an issue with these units that they have yet to resolve. I want to keep the pressure on them to resolve the issue.
They market the product for surveillance when parked and to have 2 units do the exact...
well at least your is remaining on and not shutting down due to overheating. try turning off your phone and turning back on. maybe also remove anything stored in the cache memory.
Anyone considering buying a Blackvue, buyer beware. It looks like Blackvue has a problem with the camera and it persists no matter the firmware version. As of yet, no fix.
They changed it. It showed $145640 on their website earlier today so word must have got out and they changed it.
Now its only $8K over MSRP. What a deal.
So what happens if the car is damaged when it is parked and the Power Magic Pro is turned off?
Just had the shop replace the Power Magic Pro so will see if that solves the problem.
Just had installed a Blackvue DR900S-2CH 4K Dashcam integrated with the Power Magic Pro and the unit keeps shutting down due to overheating.
The temperature outside is only 68F and interior temp is not much higher but this is the SECOND unit that is overheating.
After contacting Blackvue...
it does save more than 1 day of video but it does this in like 1 min increments. this may also be dependent on how large a MicroSD Card is used. It comes with a 16 GB card but I have been told it can take up to a 128 GB card.
On a side but related note, the blackvue has repeatedly overheated...
Check this morning (04/17/19) and the Anker is at 50% charge and the NetGear HOTSPOT shows 100% charged. At this rate, it should stay powered for well over 1 week.
going to tag onto this thread as I have a related question. for some reason, when I first start my vehicle in the morning, the heated seats and heated steering wheel will be turned on even though they were in the off position the night before.
is there a setting that turns the heated seat on...
