I use the Covercraft UVS100 also. Have one for my 13 focus too. I like them a lot better than the more flexible shades. They are little bit of a pain to put in place, but once you get used to deploying them they stay in place much better.

Id fix it for sure. Especially if you think you can do some of the bolt on stuff yourself, you could very well come out with money left over. I will say to check the frame right behind where the suspension bolts on. My friends raptor had similar damage to yours and they had a heck of a time...

Ive never pulled my third light out to see how it is wired but im sure you could make it only come on with the brake pedal pushed. So the short answer would be yes its possible. How to make that happen i coudnt tell ya. But if you had a mulit meter im sure you could get in there a find out...
