Guy,
I'd be curious to hear if you have the same issues with the steering wheel music controls, as I'm having. Pressing FWD or BACK doesn't work as intended. Volume UP and DOWN are OK. Mute works in Sync3, but has no effect not while listening to music through the tablet.
The reverse camera...
The theme/pictures that you mentioned are all the same, but I was told you can customize the following screens:
Boot screen
City view home screen
White Raptor on one of the screens (couldn't quite understand which )
If you go on Phoenix's website, there's a knowledge base that has a few...
The shop is in S. Cal. I have a house in Irvine also and my truck is over here for now. (Escaping the TX heat!)
Still can't see the screen head on with polarized sunglasses. You have to tilt your head > 45 degrees to get a sight picture.
Switching between applications is also noticeably...
It seems they can make cables there on the spot, so hopefully they can whip up a batch locally to get everyone covered. I noticed that the new cable they made was longer and not at the limit to connect the two points. The first version they made, which didn't have the same sheathing as the...
******* OEM NAV FIXED *******
I am local to the shop and they reached out to me to see if they could use my 2018 Raptor 802a (sync3), to test the PX6 and troubleshoot a few issues. I previously had the older version and got fed up and returned it. An afternoon with their engineers, we figured...
Sorry guys, but I'm gonna have to bow out of messing with this. Not having Sync3 reliably start up is a deal breaker for me because I need my backup camera. I just replaced everything back to stock. If it was just the Sync3 NAV system out of whack, I could probably live with it because Waze...
OK.
Tried disconnecting everything at the top of the tablet, which consisted of the tablet GPS antenna (1), small white connector (2), and large white connector (3). I think I needed the last connector (4) plugged in, which I believe is the video pass through from Sync3 to the tablet. After...
Ok, so I swapped both GPS antennas and still the same symptoms with Sync3 (the tablet GPS was OK). Also, it seems the Sync3 GPS is a little more picky about the antenna. I get a "Navigation Fault" upon startup, and then it seems to grab a GPS signal after a few seconds. Periodically, I also...
I get the same wonky NAV also in Sync3. It seems every 5 minutes Sync3 will update the nav location, and then get the direction of travel correct, however if I make a left or a right turn, the Sync3 NAV spins in the opposite direction, so I'm going 180 degrees from where I turned. Wait 5...
For those that are wondering where the:
Force GPU rendering
Disable HW overlays
switches are, here is how you get to them.
SETTINGS -> More settings... -> Developer options (in order to see this option, you have to enable it. Just google "android enable developer options"
I live somewhat local to those guys, about 40 mins away, and had them install it yesterday. Took them about 3.5 hrs (original quote was 1.5 hrs), mostly because I think the first guy they put to task didn't have much experience installing at all. The next guy that came along (Chris), spoke...
It sounds like more of an issue about managing expectations. I think I'm in the same camp as Guy, and not really expecting a top end tablet with full functionality, but rather a larger touch screen upgrade than what we have. The NAV map on SYNC3 is reason enough for me to keep my order going...
Is it possible to change the day/night time layout of the SYNC3 screen to night time only? That would make the border of the SYNC3 screen less noticeable. Also I think the night time mode is a little easier on the eyes because the contrast is better.
