mine is in at Ford right now, looks like the steering link - not the whole box is going, they are putting in a new one today, 470 including labor. 15k miles on truck, but pretty well abused off road, so I have no complaints.

in some cases it's that they have a wire run too close to another stock run that isn't shielded well enough. That's a common gremlin that can be sorted pretty easily. Have them move around the cabling coming into the system, see if the noise decreases. there are some pretty "loud" OEM wire...

TRR was a blast. other than a bad MAF sensor from my stupid AirRaid falling off (again...) and one lost center cap off my Methods, truck worked like a champ. spent about 4 hours cleaning it Sunday, and I will say, I bitched about the mud when I was there, but at least it mostly stayed...
