Paddle shifting is a waste in this truck when trying to go fast. Let the Auto be auto. The response time when you hit the paddle is so slow, it commands the shift late, and as you said, you have hit the rev limiter and the engine retards boost and timing to save itself.
Keep it on auto, the...
So about 20 years ago, I decided to change the timing belt on my Audi to save $1,000. Took me all of a 3 day weekend instead of the book 4 hours, and the car was never correct after that. I ended up selling it. I learned my lesson. Pay the pros. get a warranty. save the headache.
That reminds me. I bought a case of 12 FOMOCO oil filters 5 years ago, and I am out. 12 oil changes in 5 years or 56k miles. I say I follow the trucks warning for oil changes, but it look like I am a little ahead of schedule. 6 months or 5,000 miles
what is the ambient temp....and are you in AUTO mode.....? for the record, the truck will still "heat" even if AC is on when you have it in full auto.
If you are in auto, the truck will do what it thinks is best to achieve the desired temp. os if it is 60 degrees out and you go from 67 to 68...
everything is controlled by the computer now. any voltage change will send it into error. so if they just tapped a reverse light, it will throw off the computer.
Just for reference. THAT truck in 2018 was $65k as stickered. So $3k bump in price year over year. Or $15k for live valve, exhaust, and digital dash don't forget the heated wheel delete :)
You by the Fox 3.0's and E-Click to upgrade a 17-18 to a live valve set up (or as close as you can get to live valve) $4,000+ ish
I have 56k on my 2018, she is getting floaty on the highway. This summer is when I plan on getting the work done.
5 amps x 14 volts - 70 watts (but you should not go above 50% rating for normal draw)
stop being cheap. if you don't know how to to it, pay someone to do it correct. you need a relay. PERIOD. It is not that hard.
