    The Raptor Wave

Sorry...goning to be brutally honest here... waving to other people just because they drive a similar car is just stupid. I despised the "corvette wave" when I had one, and sorry...if you wave at me in another raptor, it may trigger me to just wave back with a middle finger.

thanks @Traffic22 I think I am going with a 6inch adjustable drop. I need to go 325 miles all on interstate, so should not be very difficult.

Factory Radio won't pull up all SiriusXM channels

and bonus...the sirius XM app is 320kb....where the satellite stream is 160kb. you can notice the difference even on a stock system....much more on a custom system. You just have to have a cell phone data plan that wont go nuts on your bill streaming all that. music.

how big of drop hitch do i need to tow a car (5,500ish pound trailer)

tongue weight will be 300-400 pounds i guess. Not sure if I need a 4,6 or 8 inch drop. i assume the bumper will droop when the trailer weight is on the tongue.

KIDOR Lemon Law Denied and Suspension Warranty Cancelled

This is the one that sticks out for me. I waited 30,xxx miles to ensure my truck was good before I did any serious mods I cant come back from . A tune in my case.

    GEN 2 Deleted

The "sound" grows on you and loosens up over time. I have owned every kind of car in the last 35 years. Exhaust sound is bottom on my list of things I care about. So this is a non issue for me.

KIDOR Lemon Law Denied and Suspension Warranty Cancelled

mine is only ever turned on when I am on the interstate for long periods of time. To intrusive to use during normal drives.

KIDOR Lemon Law Denied and Suspension Warranty Cancelled

I feel bad for him. But he has videos where they were literally beating the truck with a sledge in order to make room for 37's and swapped out most of the stock suspension for aftermarket. Again, all on video. His issues all came after that work was done. Even going back to stock, Ford has a...

    Driving in snow?

again....ABS has no "calibration"...... ABS modulates the pressure in the brake line to the pads when the wheel sensor senses a wheel has stopped. It is an on or off situation. If the truck has forward motion, but a wheel or wheels are "locked up" ABS modulates the brakes. ABS has no reason to...

    Driving in snow?

for the record......ABS has no "calibration"...... ABS modulates the pressure in the brake line to the pads when the wheel sensor senses a wheel has stopped. It is an on or off situation. The "drive modes", adjust the front / rear bias of the brakes. Not the ABS (sensativity). it is...

    Driving in snow?

I am a car nerd at heart and do my research. we get 2-4 snows a year in STL. enough to know what works and what doesnt. you see plenty of idiots stuck on the side of the road because they think FWD = great for snow. When in reality, what kind of tire you have makes all the difference in the...

First Post good to be here

Mobil 1 since 1992 for me. 4,000 mile changes in the 90's, ....7,000 mile changes in the 2000's.....and now 10,000 mile changes in the 2010's per manufacturers recommendations. 18 cars, and almost 950,xxx miles over 31 years and never an oil related problem. Why switch what works.

    Driving in snow?

Tons of tread mean nothing...if it is the wrong tire compound, they could be as hard as hockey pucks. And in snow, mud tires are horrible. Mud tires eject mud / snow so the treads are clean. In the snow, you want your tires to hold the snow, snow on snow is what provides traction. not rubber...

    Driving in snow?

yeah...stop hitting the brake pedal so hard ABS is engaging because you are hitting the brakes too hard, or your tires are complete trash. If you get into abs, you are not braking properly. manual pedal modulation will ALWAYS be more efficient stopping then ABS.

    Sony 700 watt amp

first thing you have to understand is there is ZERO industry standard around power rating for an amp. 700watts, 7,000 watts. They can write what ever they want. in reality, it is much closer to 13 watts a channel. using simple"ohms law"...where Power (P) = Voltage (V) * Current (I) 12 volts...
