I have had my seats apart to fix the heater. you problem will be the skin will now be loose, and will crease where the material is missing, potentially causing more issues.

trying to get into a dealer for the fix. right now on line they say end of September before I can get in. hoping to call and talk to someone.
also. my understanding is they have to teardown most of the motor. going to have them put new plugs back in
I had the software update in December 2021 per the Ford requirement. My truck never had the Cam Phaser issue until a month or so ago. I had it happen once. then 2-3 weeks later it started to do it on every cold start up.
now, it is doing very hard starts in the morning with the noise.
Yay me.
The wife has been driving an Explorer Sport since 2013. (2014 and 2018 models). She has declared she is done with SUV's and wanted a car.
Found a 2021 Audi A6 PP 3.0 Black Optics with 5,000 miles for a great price. Made the deal last weekend. Getting the windows tinted 20% today.
Going to give you a big Thumbs down on that. Look at CUBA. You have not been able to buy a new American car in 70 years, and car culture is very strong.
Enthusiast will find a way.
Back when I did car alarms, we would wire simple kill switches with a relay normally open state. The only way to close the relay (allow you car to start) was to push the UP function on the drivers window.
simple, hidden, no "switches" to install / drill into panels.
I have been saying this for 3 years now. Nobody on this forum is going to sniff a raptor R for less then $150k, and $200k is in the ball park.
This is a halo truck like the Ford GT. It is designed to create traffic / marketing for the attainable cars like a normal Raptor or F150.
1,000,000...
you seriously thought a 4 year old handshake deal was going to hold on the hottest car / truck since the corvette c8 or ford GT. Californians are smoking some crazy stuff.
give them a chance.....every shop has a "lead' who is better than the other guys. Unless it is a one man show. But even then...some guys just can have a bad day
he is basically asking MSRP in 2017 for a truck with 45,000 miles, and maybe $5,000 in cosmetic upgrades. Another's have said...it needs $2-5,000 worth of shock maintenance
I am all for high resale value, but that is ridiculous. At best it is a $50,000 truck depending on location.
Short answer is YES......using Forscan "can" void your warranty if you follow the EULA you signed when you bought your truck.
The software in the truck is not designed to be serviced by anyone outside of Ford. They expressly say this in the EULA. You using Forscan to access the settings...
original owner on my 2018 with 45,000 miles. I have done nothing but change the oil and filter every 7,000 to 9,000....and rotate the tires including the spare every 7,000 ish miles.
dont over think it.
I did replace my diff cover and fluid at 30,000...but that was just for the looks.
start the car, call Sirius, and then go for an hour long drive. It should all cycle through....truck needs to be on and in clear line of sight to the starts for the hit to take.
and pay your bill if you have not already :)
