My Engine Temp just about always gets normal long before the Tranny. I haven't noticed sluggish shifting or any other problem so long as i let it idle at least 5 minutes before taking off in the morning, longer if it's colder. I'll keep an eye / ear on it.
I'm in Northern Alberta, winter time temps get a little on the cold side. What I'm seeing is that the tranny temps seem to take an awful long time to get to "normal" - any issue with that or should I be looking at covering something up?
When I shift to 4x4 high, there is a audible whining sound that almost sounds like a vacuum leak or other issue. I went to my dealer and spoke with the Head Mechanic who told me that "this is a characteristic of the Raptor - I know of 3 others that are doing this"
