Another thing to consider is SLC is currently a hot spot with over 600 new cases reported Friday alone. Read on their local news website they are implementing a mandatory mask law and if numbers continue to increase possibly closing bars/restraunts. So, may be little to no benefit of SLC vs...
The Cobb TCM still does skip shifting in the OEM+ setting. Similar to stock just smoother and optimized shift points and not quite as fast to jump to 10th.
The stock tubing isn't long enough. In order to get red and white clips on you will have to take the tape off and really stretch them to reach. The red clip has been fine though very taunt, however the angle of the white clip combined with the tension caused the nipple on my tube to break off...
Well I regularly check tpms but also have a really nice snap on shop gauge that is maybe 1psi off from tpms.
I agree something isn't right. Im pretty OCD with my tires. I havent been overly impressed with these KO's anyway. So it won't hurt my feeling to buy a new set of tires. The only thing...
Discount tire direct has a flash sale right now. 100.00 off plus rebate. I have a 19' with 12k miles. My KO's are wearing very uneven. I run 36 front and 34 rear cold psi. Rotate every 5k. But the centers are down to 7/32's with edges at 12/32's. Hard to believe. Cuz that indicates over...
Update! BIG Thanks goes out to Nick @Apollooptics. I contacted him the day this happened to discuss since I purchased the tubes from him. He did all the leg work with AMS and got a replacement tube sent out to me. I also recieved an extended hose and some clamps from AMS to swap with stock hose.
Well thats good to know. Unfortunately I can't really keep driving my truck around with a hole in the tube. I have it sealed off with heat tape but I still keep throwing a cel every few days bc of it. I still haven't heard back on a replacement yet. Plan to put longer hoses on and clamp em down...
I had poor experience with ridge grapplers.... bought a set. 3 of the 4 failed road force balance. Annoying vibration and wobble At highway speeds. Nitto sent 3 new ones. 2 of those failed to balance. Ended up going back to duratracs. Also ran Kelly safari tsr. Both solid year round...
Basically the lines with the red clip and white clip. But if they replace my tube (still waiting to hear back) I'll prob replace all of them. Cuz had to really stretch em all to reach. That would be the safest bet and biggest peace of mind.
huh and u didn't have any issues? All my wires and tubing was super short. Ended up confirming that ford shortened everything on 2019. Maybe they put length back on for 2020 or maybe i just got an odd ball. Who knows.
Well if I can get a replacement boost tube... thats what I'm considering doing. Initially removed all the tape and had them stretched as far as they could reach. That white connector was just at an odd angle which put a lot of tension and torque on that connector.
But I'll prob buy a new...
So,
As some of you may know from previous threads the AMS boost tubes do not directly fit the 2019-2020.
I did not know this upon purchase as it wasn't specificified at the time in the description, but found out on install and further confirmed through AMS.
With that said, I was able to...
Then u will prob like the magnaflow option as well. Another option I heard that I've considered adding to mine for a few hundred bucks is replacing the stock resonator with 2 vibrant ultra quiet resonators. Creates a true dual configuration. Slightly more aggressive sounds while still preventing...
I agree none of them sound great. At the end of the day I think anyone looking at exhaust has to remember its not a V8 and never will be. No matter how u cut it or what combo u try, it will always sound like some version of a fast and furious V6. Some raspy, some deeper, and some in between...
I had the stock unit cut off and had shop weld on two 4" round magnaflows. Sounds about as good as a V6 can with NO rasp at all. From video clips "for what those are worth" sounds very similar to awe set up.
Cost me 180.00 for the 2 mufflers and 65 for shop work.
My friend, if u truly believe this then I invite you to visit NYC, Detroit, or any area being hit hard by this.... or come to my hospital... I will gladly take u to see the patients fighting for their life on ventilators, meet family members of some of those who were not fortunate enough to pull...
