Why are you considering trading? If it's just to get a V8, then you won't regret it. Doesn't look like the V8 is making a return to the raptor any time soon. You could find a 6.2 raptor with low miles, but it wont have the bells and whistles that your current one does.
Like some others...
I have a set of shocks off my 2011 that have about 100k miles on them. What do they go for? I could send them to fox to have them rebuilt for $150 each, but then again so could someone else. What do you guys recommend?
I got them in and replaced the rears as well. If anyone runs into this spacer/cut stud problem in the future, the way I got around it was to dry fit the upper shock mount attached to the shock minus the spring. Once I got it in there I marked the top of the shaft and marked the top of the...
Thank you for the help guys. I’ve ordered two new mounts, I plan on assembling the shock minus the spring, and then installing it to mark it up.
I don’t know why someone would put a leveling block on a gen 1 and destroy the factory mount in the process.
Pretty frustrating when a 2-3 hr job...
Long story short, i bought the truck used, and the previous owner used a leveling block on the front shock instead of raising the perch. I knew this going in, but I didnt realize they had to cut the stock mounting hard ware to fit the block in. So now I have to get two new mounts. Not sure...
is there a trick to lining up the front shock with the bolt holes? I put the old spring on my new shock, but now the bolts are misaligned. Don’t want to run a new shock. Do you just get the bolts on the holes and then use a pry bar through the bottom to rotate it around?
Any help is greatly...
Seems some of the rebuild shops are charging $25 each to move the perch on a front shock. I wouldn’t recommend you pay someone to do it.
I ordered two new fronts from rock auto and it took about 90 seconds to move the perch.
I greased up the slip yoke, and today I noticed fluid leaking out of the output shaft and being sling around the underside of the truck.
Is there some thing I missed? Or did that seal just give way coincidently?
I just bought an 11 w/ 100k on it. I looked at a few before pulling the trigger so this is kind of what I did.
Ways to tell it was driven like it was meant to:
1. Check the obvious places like skid plate, lower arms, bump stomps, rear diff, etc. for damage. Scratches are not necessarily a...
Problem solved!
I checked the all the fuses, nothing wrong. Pulled the center console off, and the Upfitter switch box and the hill descent/off road buttons were disconnected. Plugged them in, everything seems good to go. I'm assuming someone removed the console to clean something, and just...
Thanks for the replies guys. In the process of getting to look at the fuses, I noticed the passenger floorboard was damp. Looks like ac drain line is leaking back into the cab. Going to install the 90 elbow and then get back into the issues of no power on the upfitter/hill descent/off road panel.
pushed the off road button and nothing happened. Tried it from a stop and rolling. Is this indicative of a problem or did I not meet the parameters of activating it?
It’s a 2011 I just picked up just trying to put it through some paces, see what needs to be done.
Just got this truck, doesn’t seem to have the same stance as others.
Is the front end lifted? Or is the rear sagging?
I can’t tell if it has a spacer on the spring or if that is stock.
