I'm still figuring out which route I wanna go with things there. Thinking of Fox 3.0 coilovers with external reservoirs, but also still thinking of 19+ Live Valve shocks with the SDI e-clik.
Rhino Rack kit showed up today, and is being sent back. The kit was poorly packed and shipped, and it looks like one of the boxes had already been opened and taped back shut. It was missing the caps for the feet as well as the positioning stickers. I sent Car-ID a message and they are sending me...
I won't be tackling this project until winter when the truck goes into the storage most likely, but current plans are the ADV +2/+2 without vent and with their liners, as well as getting paint to match door and tailgate handles. Trying to figure out if there's any other paint work I should do...
To clarify - The K02 and KM3 in a 37x12.50 measure out to 36.50x12.50 wheres the STT Pros in a 37x12.50 measure out to 36.8x13.00. It's weird that different tires can end up not at the advertised size. I was also looking at the STT Pros in 37x13.50 since they are almost 60 dollars a tire...
Very nice setup! I do not plan on going crazy with off-roading, but I do like the coverage the ADV liners provide. I guess I can always just get them and if I destroy them then I'll look at another option.
Yea, the Mickey Thompsons were one of the other tires I noticed are one of the "larger" 37" tires like the Cooper STT Pro. The KO2's and KM3's are a "small" 37" tire. The K02's and KM3's are supposed to be 36.5x12.50. The STT Pro's are 36.8x13.00.
Also a heads up for anyone who wants to run the Softtopper but has the GJ third brake light - you'll need to make sure you space it back a bit compared to what the instructions say so it's not sitting against the third brake light. The nice thing though is that the Softtopper is pretty...
Yea, I think for what it costs it's a well designed and quality product! I like that it still works as a topper to protect things, but that it's easy to fold or just take it off when you want to use the entire bed again. I agree, if you have the gray flares still the gray color would look really...
Current choice for wheel would be the 17x9 +1 Fuel Militia in matte bronze. They offer a -12 offset, but I think that's gonna be too much outward poke on a 37x12.50.
Current choice for tire is a Cooper STT Pro 37x12.50. I'm still debating going to the 13.50 as I am planning for the ADV...
Got it all finished up tonight! Decided to flip the bumper lights underneath the bumper instead of on top, looks much cleaner. Also changed out the lenses on the driving/combo lights. Got the SDHQ A-pillar brackets, Squadron Sport spots with amber rock covers, and S1 amber wide cornering lights...
Figured I'd toss up some pictures. The Softtopper is up, so you can't see much of the third brake light, but at least these give you guys an idea of the setup!
Considering I've been an automotive tech as well as a shop owner for the last 16 years I know how a spade terminal works. I cannot say I have EVER seen someone install one without stripping the end first. These were not stripped on the ends, just crimped, so they are not making contact with the...
Got a chance to pull the C-pillar trim and drop the headliner back down. Used the Power Probe to check and sure enough, no voltage at the connector. Stripped the plastic back off the end and found that the crimp hadn't gone into the wire. Cut the connector off, stripped the wire, and installed a...
Only option for something not drilled into the roof is Rhino Rack. I sent them a message last night asking which cross bars they would recommend the the rep said they only recommend the Vortex ones since they hold the same weight as the Heavy Duty ones, but that they fit accessories from just...
