That's why I'm thinking of just painting the fender vents to match how I did my hood vents. I too like the gray which is why when I did my bumpers, rock sliders, hood vents, and grille I did them in a similar gray to the factory stuff, just with bedliner underneath.
The hood graphic actually helps cut down on glare over the hood from A-pillar mounted lights a lot, especially in dusty/snowy conditions. The huge splash bed graphic is a different story though, that one I think is a bit overkill. That's why I went with something more along the lines of the Gen...
Did some more digging around on this. The only trucks I can find that had black speaker grilles were the Limited and FX4 Appearance Package, both of which came standard with Sony systems. It seems like at this point I would have to get the gray ones and paint them, but I may just remove the Sony...
Anyone used these? I thought it might be a nice upgrade to just the plain black textured stuff.

Ordered the paint to match door and tailgate handles/surrounds. After looking at the FX4's with the Appearance Package with the painted flares and handles I think it just makes the truck look a lot sleeker.
Have the local Discount Tire pricing out the Fuel Militia 17x9 -12 and the STT Pro 37x13.50. I just decided I will make the truck fit the tires. :p
EDIT: Both of those wheels and tires are on backorder currently with no ETA. I'm starting to even look at 18" options. Something like the Fuel...
Yea, definitely remove it yourself for that kind of savings. Removing it is the easy part, installing the new one and getting it lined up correctly is the hard part. lol
Just use a hair dryer to heat it a bit and start peeling it from the corner. Once you get ahold of enough of it they come off without too much effort. Goo Gone is awesome for removing the adhesive without damaging the paint. Usually after that's all cleaned up you can lightly buff it to clean up...
Just curious if there was ever a 09-14 F-150 that had black speaker covers for a non-Sony system. Currently the ones I have are from my 2013 Limited truck that have the Sony lettering on them, and I would love to find a set that are still black, but without the Sony lettering. I was going to...
Also to add - the bodyshop will also be installing the paint to match door/tailgate handles and surrounds and paint matching them to the truck. Basically it'll end up similar to the FX4 Appearance package truck that had matched handles and flares.
So glad I went with the Softopper at this point.
It folds very easily so you can use the bed quickly and then is easy to set it back up. The other day I needed to go pick up a trundle bed so I wanted to strip the bed to make room for everything. I was able to remove the Softopper, Hi-lift jack...
At this point I feel like I can confidently say I'm very happy with the route I went. There's never a point I don't have enough bass, and it's very easily adjustable with the knob by the shifter. The amp and wiring all tucks extremely nicely behind the rear seat, and although the sub is a tight...
Still haven't seen much in the way out there yet for the Android 10 units making their way into the F-150's yet. It looks like most of them are still on backorder at this point.
EDIT: Phoenix is telling me half a month out on the Android 10 units still.
Anyone looking for a nice rear entertainment system that's multi-useful I would definitely recommend it. The screens are very nice, the interface works well, and you have TONS of options with the setup. The speakers built into the units are pretty decent, but in order to not annoy the other...
Fenders and liners are set to arrive middle of next week. They will go to the body shop to get checked over before they are fitted to the truck. My friend at the bodyshop wants to make sure they are smooth as fiberglass stuff can vary a lot in quality. I have full confidence they will do a great...
Yea, without the boards on, especially with bigger tires, you'll find the rock chips add up quickly. I'm glad I have my RPG sliders on, because every time the truck throws a rock I can hear it hit the aluminum skid plates. lol
