They make awesome vinyls. I have had two of their grille letters and two of their hood decals as well as the fender vent decals and they have all been absolutely awesome.
The one I have is most definitely a recovery strap, not a tow strap. I could see a lot of issues with trying to use a tow strap to yank someone out compared to a kinetic strap. I guess maybe it's time to look into the rope and soft shackles.
If I ever get to the point that I don't use the full truck bed anymore I definitely will invest in a chase rack to hold bed things. I just don't like the idea of having to unload it and unbolt the chase rack if I want to pick up plywood. lol
Last piece of the chrome delete should be here Monday which is the front shifter and cupholder trim. I'm debating getting some vinyl stickers made to cover the Limited badging on the seats, but I also kind of like it as it stands out as being not stock to the truck.
Really enjoying the door sills so far. Even if the lighting on them dies they are still a VERY nice upgrade to the plastic ones that just say "Ford." The fit of them I would not say is "perfect," but they clear the door panels and line up with the stock sills just fine. The lighting at night as...
Is the rope a newer thing? I have a 4" kinetic strap, and as far as I know that was kind of the go-to for a while. Never seen soft shackles either. Interesting.
No winch here due to tube bumpers, but I do have a come-along, tree strap, 100 feet of the synthetic winch rope, snatch block, and a 4" 30 ft recovery strap with D-rings. I'd assume along with the traction boards that's probably a pretty good setup.
Got her all done. Some d-ring anchors, self-drilling screws, couple small ratchet straps, fresh paint, and she's all good to go. Fits in there nicely around the Hi-Lift jack and accessories. Easy to remove too, just pull the ratchet straps off and fold the rings down, good to go.
I was thinking of just doing something like that with mine too. I want something that makes it easy to remove and take out of the way. Is yours just hooked onto the bed hook? I could just get some ratchet strap hooks to screw into the inside of the bed in front of the wheel wells.
Hey guys, just curious if you had anything setup for tool storage. I've got a Harbor Freight 300 piece toolkit that comes in a nice storage box, but I hate just leaving it out on the floor of the interior. I thought about trying to set up something in the bed to hold it, but haven't come up with...
Got the rear one trimmed to fit my JL sub box tonight and installed. I like how they were smart enough to curve the edges to point downwards so they don't curl like the WeatherTech ones do. Glad I went for the upgrade. Also, they don't slide around either.
Just run a search on my name and you'll find a bunch of different threads I've posted pictures in recently. Mine has a little bit steeper angle I think.
Yea, the fit is definitely a lot better, and they don't slide around because they have the little grippy things on the bottom. It looks like they won't have any edge curling issues either because the material is a little more rubbery than plastic like the WeatherTech's, so they've got more...
So far I definitely like the Husky X-act Contours MUCH better. They don't slide around on the floor, and the fit is a lot better. The material seems much more pliable as well.
Just ordered the Husky X-act front and rear liners on Amazon. I think they will end up working out better since they are the more pliable rubber material compared to the thermoplastic stuff the WeatherTechs are. Hopefully should help with the curling issue at the edges.
Yea, that's why I was hesitant to purchase them. At least so far the only real issue is the one was defective, and I'm already working with the company to get a new one sent out. The wiring issue was kind of a pain, but I figured that was going to happen. It's the only RECON product I've ever...
