Nice to see the dashcam doing what it was designed to do; protect the owner.
The grease monkeys at my stealership have disconnected my dash cam the last two times it was in.
The first time, they were fixing a leak and claimed to have needed to work around it and then forgot to reconnect it.
The...
Made a big difference. I got Husky - just in the front. I don't find that they're really very noticeable either.
And yes - before it was way worse than my Gen 1 was with no flaps too.
FWIW, I have found carplay to be VERY picky about the cable. I’ve had best luck with ones that were “Apple certified” and they still seem to have a shelf life. Something at some point wears in them and gives up. Dunno if it’s the connector at the phone or something in the cable.
Shit, that sucks.
Have you considered a longer rubber hose between the AMS tube and the CAI? Something with more flex might have more give and stay on.
I put them on my '19 this past fall. The passenger side was a bitch and I had to take off the wheel to get my arms in, but in the end - it went in. Nothing is stretched or looks weird. It mated to a Cobb CAI and it's never disconnected.
I heard that AMS made their tubes with different material...
Maybe where you live, but the variance where I live in widths of parking spaces is very notable. At Costco, I have tons of room on both sides; but in a certain retail park in Dartmouth, NS; the lines touch my tires on both sides.
The Raps are simply big for today's parking spots. At one restaurant I frequent often, I park at the end of a row in the "No parking zone" (There's still plenty of room to get around me) because I don't fit in the regular spots and if I did - no one would be able to get in and out of their cars...
I've got a couple of the cheap amazon horns in a similar location mounted on the frame rail with a slight angle down (so they drain) - they're holding up well with rain, dust and basic mud, and I've got Husky mud flaps in front so your Rok Bloks should definitely help.
Installed my tubes today. Thanks Off Road Alliance for a quick and easy international shipment!
Driver's side went on fairly easy - the passenger side - not so much.
Pulled the front wheel off so I could get my hands in under the wheel well and that made a big difference
Using a long ratchet...
I bought a cheap Chinese $180 20" bar on Amazon. Light bars are banned in my province for on-road use, and I'm not going to be off-roading at night much. It's just for filling the hole.
This is very much a personal decision, but I'll give you my experience in hope it helps you, OP.
I ordered PB last year before Ford released color samples. Then I saw pics on the internet. I cancelled the order and got VB; causing an additional 2 month delay in delivery.
I personally didn't...
