What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Two days ago, but I made some mounting brackets for flags. I could also put whip lights. I had to do this to go to the Salt Lake Dunes in Oregon. It’s on the beach and a pretty large area.

It was in Baja, but it didn’t matter because the mid pipe was removed. Only exhaust was the SPD catted downpipes.

I found this in my skid plate and I’m not sure where it came from. Thanks for your help!

New Overland Gen3 from New Mexico

Awesome build! I would love to check out that spare tire setup. I am in the process of building some racks and that design would really work well for me. I am in Albuquerque too if you ever want to get together and go for an outing. I saw a large group 20+ raptors coming South near Unser and...

Foam padding between bed and cabin

Super easy to pull the bed off. The foam on my truck has pulled loose a bit, but I don't worry about it.

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

The WeBoost definitely helped with spotty service. I was able to complete calls from areas that I couldn't before. The calls were crisp and clear. I would buy it again.

    Gen 3 boost tubes

I can't fully answer your questions about the K&N parts because I did multiple mods at the same time. I do not think they would make much difference in sound. They might without any air filter installed, but that would not be wise lol. I don't think they add much horsepower or torque to stock...

Has anyone used Statkus Engines for previous builds?

Jim Statkus has built many motors for me in the past. It seems like he is looking to work on a new project. It seems as though he is confident he can build a a complete long block, transmission, plus more for my Gen 3. Do you know of anyone running built motors that I can talk to? Thank you!

Gen 3 Raptor Downpipes from SPD Performance Now Available at Apollo Optics!

Correct. I couldn’t make the power, or have the power curve I do on my modded truck without the pipes. I wouldn’t put them on a stock turbo truck unless you just want the sound.

Things to check after taking delivery

It was reinstalled the same way it came from the factory. I was the one who changed the tire and had the problem getting the spare out when I had a blown tire. Even if you don’t believe me, it’s probably a good idea to check the way it’s mounted from the factory, and also when a tire shop puts...

Gen 3 Common issues we are now seeing

Please delete this post, or let me know if it’s already been covered and I’ll delete it. Sometimes my radio sounds distorted / staticky using Apple play, or Bluetooth. It also randomly adjusts balance to the left or right side only. All I have to do to fix it is turn the truck off, open the...

Spare tire safety cable removal *added photos of cable in later post *

Yeah, I’m hoping so. Still would’ve been sol without tools though.

Will do. I thought the lights would be brighter as well.

Things to check after taking delivery

It came installed incorrectly from Ford. The tech installed it the same way it was installed from the factory. I’m glad it’s all solved now.

Spare tire safety cable removal *added photos of cable in later post *

Yes I did say that. I was the one who pulled the original spare out when I needed it. At that time it had never been touched since it left the Ford lot. I had all of the problems with the cable before the tech reinstalled it. I had the tech reinstall it the same way I took it out because I...

Spare tire safety cable removal *added photos of cable in later post *

Definitely a bonus. I’m building a custom mount to hold my spare tires, gas jugs, jack and I’ll just keep fabbing it up until I like it. I have a Decked system so the bolt on parts that use the bed mounts won’t work. I’m integrating it into the whole bed and bracing it under the bed rails so it...

What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

I added some adjustable bed rail tie downs and a GMRS setup. I used the Bulletproof Diesel Third Brake Light Antenna Mount with Rigid lights, then I added the Midland GMRS. I ran a cable for a CB radio on the other side of the mount. It does seem brighter in the bed, but it is deceiving with the...

Things to check after taking delivery

2022 37pp spare tire installed incorrectly. The safety cable went through a small spoke and UNDER the tire itself. I had to remove the safety cable to change my tire. Without tools, I would’ve been sol. I checked my other truck and the cable was properly installed. I purchased both trucks brand...

Spare tire safety cable removal *added photos of cable in later post *

Ok so the cable on my other truck does indeed go over the top of the tire and it would definitely go through the center and not need to be removed. The one in question had the normal cable running through the center, but the black safety cable was running through a spoke section and definitely...

Spare tire safety cable removal *added photos of cable in later post *

Thanks. I guess my cable was not installed properly from the factory because it went through a small spoke of the wheel, not the center hole. It also was installed under the tire, not over the top. I’ll check my other truck shortly.
