What do you think of the Open Country AT3

DT has them at $266 each.

Falken AT3/W or Yokohama Geolandar X-At. Currently running Falken’s and they’re by far my favorite tire I’ve had so far. Yokohama’s will most likely be next depending on how well the Falken’s do.
Also, Gen 1’s never came with KO2’s as they weren’t made yet. They ran the original BFG AT that...
I have the AT2's currently, and they are wayyyyy better than the BFG KO2's on my buddies Gen2 raptor. If toyo did a good job with the AT3 and it's an improvement over the AT2 (which is already a great tire), its going to be an awesome tire.
If you are staying with an AT tire then you already have the best money can buy. The KO2s are the best all round AT tire for the Raptor. It amazes me how many opinions are extreme. Everything from garbage to best tire ever made. Nonsense. If your hearing is so sensitive that you can tell the...
Not in any particular order...
The tire that doesn't exist yet would be at the top of my list if it ever does exist. 315/70/17 ToyoAT3 load range C
Since the 315/70/17 ToyoAT3 load range D does exist it's on my list.
I always have Goodyear Duratracs on the list because I've yet to find a...
I don’t know if it’s helpful but I can tell you this:
stock beadlocks with stock KO2’s = 103 lbs each
17” Enkei’s with ToyoAT3’s = 91 lbs each
That tells me the beadlocks are heavy. I went up two load ranges from c to e and still lost 12 pounds per corner.
I had a set of Duratracs on my Jeep XJ Cherokee and I loved them, your correct about being a great tire for the snow. They were rotated every 3500 mi and I put roughly 20k mi on them and when I sold the Jeep the buyer didn’t believe there was that many miles on them, proved it with the invoice...
Finally got my new wheels and tires. Velgen VTF9 20x10 +30 offset, Brushed Tinted Clear, with ToyoAT3 35x12.5x20 tires. Just waiting on short lug nuts so they blend in better.
Absolutely love the wheels! Thanks Velgen and Justin at Pacific Wheel

I just started a post about ToyoAT3's and 12.5 x 17 is the size I mounted, but on Enkei's. I did however measure the width of the tire compared to the stock BFG's and it was almost the same, less than 1/4" wider. I would suspect no rubbing issues, I'm having none so far.
The D rated BFG 315/70/17 were discontinued a while back.
The 35x12.50x17 are E rated, and 66.34 lbs
The 315/70/17 are C rated and 64.4 lbs BFG originally made the C rated at the request of Ford specifically for the Raptor according to the BFG
They have a 34x10.50x17 D rated but 2" narrower...
I give a big vote and a thumbs up to Toyo tires. I have their hybrid tire but the AT3 would be perfect for you and they come in a 35 with C or E rating and have a nice balance of on road manners, good wear, and good off-road. They’re also solid in the rain and snow.
Termite352, after running the AT3's would you buy them again over the KO2's? I just ordered a set of Velgens and torn between KO2's or the ToyoAT3's in 35/12.5 R20

...5star custom tuned F150 with Fox 2.0 shocks. Only mode im in the process of doing is Eibach Pro lift springs, JLT catch can, and 35x12.50x17 ToyoAT3's on OEM forged B-Lock wheels. I have the SCT X4 7015 tuner from the 5.4 3v that 5star said I could use on the 3.5TT also but kind of worried...
...in Alaska. The KO2's wear too fast for my liking. The only advantage of the KO2's is they are better on ice than the RT's. Probably not a big concern for you in Arkansas. I'm real interested in the new ToyoAT3's, but my tire shop here said it will be a few months before they are available.
I've ran the gamut with tires. Toyo/Nitto ATs, Toyo/Nitto MTs, Toyo/Nitto RT/RGs..... I'de take the AT3 XLTs over any of them. Its tough to beat the looks of a Toyo MT but the coopers are a nice balance of aggressive and street friendly for us who daily drive our trucks.
The only unfair...
When I bought my truck it had Toyo MT's. Good off road performance, good on road/daily driver. They were not great in wet weather. Fairly good in deep snow, live in WI, but not really good in the thin slush, bit better in deeper stuff. Road noise was not bad considering they were 37's.
