2019 Raptor prices in Southern Cali

I can see that it isn't the greatest deal now, knowing it's very basic. Was just a lot closer to CA than some of the other ones I found. Seems that most Raptors with options people want are going to be in the high $50s to low $60s at best, but you're not going to find them in Cali. I see quite a...

2019 Raptor prices in Southern Cali

Just seemed like the lowest priced 2019 or 2020 I could find. I'm assuming 800a is a basic package? That truck in a SCREW. I'm not in the market for one myself, just poking around online. Has anyone on this forum purchased any 2020 SCREW for less than $54k? Would love to see the sales slip! ;) I...

Right. If you do that from Nevada, you're going to pay sales tax in Nevada when you register the vehicle. Every state has their own rules.

2019 Raptor prices in Southern Cali

If you live in a state that collects sales tax, you'll pay sales tax regardless. I have purchased a vehicle from Oregon though—got a great price on it, and we still have it.

2019 Raptor prices in Southern Cali

If you are buying new or used, I would be happy to recommend a guy I and several people I work with have used in the past. He is an "auto concierge," and was in car sales for many years before he started his concierge business. No commission, flat fee, takes your list, gets exactly what you...

2019 Raptor prices in Southern Cali

DO NOT buy a new Raptor in NV. It's an "island." They screw people here because we are far enough from other places, and close enough to California to keep the new car prices high. From Vegas, go to Utah. They are generally more reasonable. I always buy used, and I actually got mine in 2016 from...

    Which portable air compressor

Wow! That looks like a deal with the twin pistons, BUT I just did the math on Cubic Inches per minute vs CFM on the Smitty, and the Smittybilt is rated at double what this one is. Not sure. It's the same price as the SB unit on Amazon.

    Which portable air compressor

Nope! I use the Smittybuilt about once per month, and as I replied to the OP, it works great. About 3 minutes for 1 tire, from 25-44. Not as fast as some, but well worth the money, and it NEVER shuts off.

    Which portable air compressor

Actually I use this very compressor. The Smittybuilt. I aired up all 4 of my tires last weekend from 25 to 44, and it worked great. I have used it many times. Takes about 3 minutes per tire. Used it on mine, then on my buddy's and it never shut off once. Never has actually. Make sure you leave...

Throttle Racing away on GEN 1

Could be a malfunctioning TPS in the throttle body. Those sensors are cheap.

    Supercharger build-up begins

I double checked this. That hardware hit does not include the lower crossmember. It includes 4 smaller brackets for the radiator, but if you want to install any radiator that bolts up using the Roush hardware, such as AFCO, you’re going to need that crossmember, and you have to get it from Roush...

    Fake Ford Parts

Ok, first I want to say THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS FORUM!! Ok, I think I have a batch of genuine and counterfeit plugs mixed together. I pulled one from the batch yesterday and really did my research, decided I had a good plug. Then today I pulled a few more...take a look. Good plug on right, fake...

Wait, so you’re saying Autozone sells counterfeit parts?

    Fake Ford Parts

After digging around online and understanding more about what to look for, these look good. Still going to Autozone to compare.

That’s cool! Good for you. Livernois, VMP and JDM are all great companies. I don’t think anyone is arguing. JDMs email tunes have been developed on the dyno there, and are remarkably consistent from vehicle to vehicle. Dyno sheets from various customers around the country confirm 500-600WHP...

    Fake Ford Parts

How do you know if NGKs are fake? Any tell tale signs? I bought some plugs from a reputable seller on eBay, but now I’m a little nervous. I think I’m going to take one down to Autozone and compare.

I have yes. Their 650hp tune uses the twin 60mm throttle body. It's just their tune that gives the hp increase. They want to be sure you have top quality plugs installed, and at least the 47lph injectors and fuel rails that come with the Roush Phase 2 setup.

    Supercharger build-up begins

That just isn’t true. VMP and JDM both easily get 650+ with a tune and 75 mm pulley. The Roush tune is very conservative and super rich, besides having awful shift control and other issues.

Hah, lucky you! You're right, 600 hp would be a nice base HP from the factory! I'm pumped to say the least.

    Helped unflip a Jeep today

OMG, wow! Is she ok? The guy in the Jeep was fine—fractured ego for sure. Otherwise ok. Next time when I say, "air down your tires and stop driving like a jackass," maybe he'll listen!

I'm actually running an N/A tune from JDM now. They are really great to work with, and I am absolutely getting their tune for this setup. I've picked up most of the odds and ends on eBay, Amazon and many hard to find parts directly from Roush: • New GT500 take-off twin 60mm throttle body, eBay...
