Technically the wheels went on Monday but new boot goofin'! In the sea of Raptors with black wheels I wanted to go a slightly different route with mine.
Yeah I figure with machined wheels I need to be hyper vigilante with cleaning them and ceramic coating them should make that easier to knock out. Plus brand news wheels, if ever there was a time to coat them, it’s now.
First timer here but I chatted with them about application and did some digging. Seems like a straight forward process. Unfortunately I will be coating BEFORE tire install just due to logistics of using my current tires. Delays install but I think given I am running these machined wheels int...
Holy crap was it hard to pick a wheel for my truck but finally pulled the trigger on some KMC GRS 17x8.5’s. 1 of 4 showed up yesterday (long story to this that I’ll cover on my channel). These wheel were backordered at almost all of the major distributors so I had to get creative with where I...
Haha I’m on the bumper search and landed on this old thread. How’s the front bumper working out? I’m trying to justify getting the pro bolt on but not a fan of having to go back to my OEM IC. ADD confirmed it doesn’t with aftermarket factory located ICs.
Acc working fine? Bumper sensors aimed...
Threw some of the F150leds dome lights in my truck this week. My kids read a bunch in the back seat so it was a good upgrade for them.
Nerded out a bit and pulled out my light meter to see what the improvement was. Factory was around 2.75 foot-candles on the seat and the F150LEDs produced...
I switched from a Fitcam to a Wolfbox, not sure I'll ever go back. The cameras and GPS on the WB are awesome. Install is a bit more especially if you hardwire the kit but once its set up, I really think its the better option of the 2. Fitcam looks great though.
Is recommend inside the cab if you can. I might go that route down the road. Where my rear camera is at currently, it gets dirty fast from road salt.
I recently relocated it to just under the tailgate with some VHB tape to see if that helps. Also hit the lens with rainX.
When the camera lens is clean it a great view. I posted some daylight and night footage on my instagram, you can see it here:
The camera does operate like a normal mirror when the screen is OFF but the mirror is a tad darker than a typical mirror. Takes some getting used to.
Here’s your sign! It’s pretty easy but don’t be like me, careful where you place your factory screws, one of mine fell between the bed/cab. Found it a yesterday in my driveway. Thank god my tire didn’t find it first.
