Service advisor said it was a complete repaint of the roof section. The part the body shop found was the roof panel caulking peeling and cracking. The repaired section.

Installed the KHC skid plate kit. Pretty straight forward and everything lined right up. I had to reuse some of the longer factory bolts to get everything mounted right. Curious to see how much work it will be to drop the big plate for oil changes.

Yea awesome on Ford for approving it! From the report it shows that it’s covered under the 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty. I’m thinking the buffeting is from the door seals not completely clamping down. I tried pulling portions off and squeezing it back together but it always pops back out.

Got the truck back! It was covered under warranty but the report says it was not a factory defect. They also found cracking paint on the panel sealant and required some heavy repair. Unfortunately the truck will need to go back :/. Getting some serious wind buffeting on the front windows...

Yea had the sunroof tinted and windshield tinted as well. I didn’t see this spot when washing the truck after the first visit. I did have to take it back and have the windshield and sides redone though. It’s been about 2 weeks since then and this is the first time washing the truck since.

Thanks! It does seem liked it got absorbed or something because it’s super smooth. A friend suggested it could be from heat since the only thing I had do so far is have all the glass tinted. Will get it to the dealership tomorrow and see if that paint protection plan covers it before doing...

Just sprayed the truck down after all the rains here in San Diego and saw this mark on the paint I’ve never seen before. It’s up front on the passenger side by the sunroof. Anyone have any ideas? Will call the dealer tomorrow to have it looked at. Hopefully it’s covered by the paint protection...

Yea, they had options for Wednesday and Thursday or Thursday and Friday. Looks like there’s plenty of spots on the day I’m going.

Awesome! Was going through all the stages thinking maybe it’s just the new truck feeling needing to get past. No idea how it would look after years of accumulation. Was also thinking maybe it would take less work to keep it in decent shape which would be nice.
