We put the new RPG National HD Springs on at Mikes Off Road yesterday afternoon when they came off of the UPS truck. Very impressed with my initial experience driving yesterday afternoon and this morning! Will say that the ride is improved over the factory set up at least for me. I run mine on the top perch with 35x18 MTR’s with 58lbs of nitrogen and these springs have completely leveled my truck with just maybe .75 of an inch higher in the rear. The handling is crisper and the highway ride is a tad firmer which is something I like but now the suspension seems to be more integrated. Like to compare it to my 2012 GT500 which is firm yet compliant with the rear end no longer feeling nervous. Going over rough pavement or speed bumps the truck definitely feels more planted in the rear and especially when going around curves where the pavement is rough the truck feels more stable with noticeably less body lean than yesterday.

The install took about 2 hours with some slight modifications to the springs---had to remove about 35 to 40 thousandths from the stud heads in the center of the leafs where they nest in the top of the axle. This is one of those things you will just have to measure and test fit to ensure 100% engagement of the spring to the top of the axle. Other than that-----it was easy just have to cut the spring retaining bolt on the gas tank side unless you want to drop the tank.

Would say this was one of the if not the best mod I have done to this truck. Cannot wait to drive it out to the ranch to see how it does on the ugly roads as well as going up and down “brushy creek draw”! RPG is a first class outfit and will be getting more of my money in the future!:waytogo::waytogo:

I just had the RPG Stage 3 Kit installed on Thursday.

I found the initial road feel almost too different to express in words.
The springs were not harsh, as I had supposed looking at the eleven leafs as opposed to the stock three. (I did not get the heavy duty Nationals)

They felt soft, yet sure, as in footing to the road. Maybe "soft" is not the correct word, but I hate to say "firm", as it may be confused with "harsh".

May get off road within the next week or two, but for now all I have is well paved roads to relate to.

Very good point-----the feel is Very Hard to explain. Feels like a different vehicle. The factory springs were a bad call by Ford but cost is the name of the game for them.

Thanks again guys. It's cool to see how the right springs make a world of difference.
