40" or 44" whichever you want to call it - has anyone installed one of these behind the grill? I'm not much of a fabricator, so I'd hate to buy one then be SOL installing it.

Pictures would be fabulous as well as opinions. :waytogo:

If I'm not mistaken, it has the same mounting points as the Rigid 40" so I think you could pick up their behind the grille kit and install it. I'd just PM M&R though.

That is correct. The mounting brackets should fit M&R light bars. They do come with "L" mounts for flat surface and pipe installations.

So did the M&R 44 work with the RIGID kit for anyone?? If so, can we get a post with some details??

Looked for the 40/44 behind the grill kit for the Raptor, on the Rigid Industries webpage... But could not locate where exactly it was listed...Can someone post a link please.

Thanks.

I have rough mounted the M&R 44 behind the grill with the Rigid kit. It fits, but needs massaging. I'll be finishing up Sunday and will post install and lighting pics. If M&R did a bracket it would be killer. The one they shipped it with was a beast but does not work with our existing hood bump stops. Stay tuned....

Alright, I got mine installed. Behind the grill 44" M & R light bar using the Rigid brackets. It was fairly simple and straight forward. I only have a couple pictures so far - I didn't want to blind the neighborhood, but I'm honestly pretty impressed. The only potential issue is the mount from the L brackets to the light. I had to use a much shorter bolt since the supplied bolts are meant to work with the M & R bracket - which as JRubin stated won't work. You could heavily modify that bracket to work, but you wouldn't have any adjustability. The difference is that the supplied brackets have a system of groves that mesh with groves in the light allowing it to securely lock in place wherever you want it aimed. The Rigid brackets don't have these, but I was able to use the little rubber grommets that come with the M&R bar and sandwich them between the Rigid brackets and the light. It seems plenty sturdy. I believe M&R could very simply fab some brackets that would be perfect, but mine feels good enough.
I was impressed with how bright this light is. It is my first experience with a light bar, but it's blinding - enough so that I didn't dare leave it on in my neighborhood in the dark for fear of pissing off the neighbors. This is why I don't yet have some night time pictures, but I will.
