I think I should have started this earlier on. Lets keep this thread limited to Questions and Answers only. Let me try to answer the questions first too. I will take all of the Q&A from this thread and get all the ones that pertain to the course, etc. And we can talk about them at the drivers meeting in case someone misses it.

I will put the questions in the OP so they are easy to find.

Q. Can we change groups (up or down accordingly) or are we stuck in the group we originally select?
A. Great question. You can definitely change groups. The groups will be used to loosely group skill levels, and allow us to space everyone out safely. The goal is to be able to have all the trucks on the track at once. We will do a lap or 2, and then take a break to prevent lapping.

Q. I thought that I had read somewhere that the ranch has a fire ban. Does that also include charcoal grills?
A. Charcoal grills are ok, just no ground fires. Its a county ban, not the ranch itself too.

Q. Second, will there be a compressor available to air tires back up if we air them down for the track? I have one that I keep in the truck for emergency purposes, but if I have to fill all 4 of my tires with it, I'd be there till next weekend.
A. I have heard of quite a few people bringing out compressors and CO2. I can't promise that the ranch will have anything available, but I am pretty sure someone will let you use theirs.

Q. Like the real races will some Raptors have "Race radios" to relay any problems back to main pit ? Maybe a chase truck to assist and possible medical attention ? Kind of how Outlaw Raptor did with their runs.
A. Luckily, their is cell coverage across the whole ranch, and the longest distance from the pit to anywhere on the ranch is only 5 miles or so on main roads, so help is always nearby. I do have a group that is stepping up to help with recovery though, and we are working on getting them armed with Radios. A bunch of Raptors coming out have set themselves up with race radios too.

Q. Do we have a schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
A. Friday: Gates open at 12 PM
Registration 12-5 PM
Early Drivers meeting 3 PM
Track open, 3-10 PM
Saturday: Registration 7-12
Drivers Meeting 8 AM
Track open 8:30 AM - 10 PM
Sunday: Track open 8 AM - 3 PM.

Q. What forms of payment will be accepted for ranch fees, shirts, raffle, food, etc. Cash, check, plastic?
A. I will need to verify, but expect cash or check only.

Q. What food will be available out there? (i.e. should we bring food if we plan to be there for an extended period?)
A. There will be a food truck out there selling typical food truck fare, and a BBQ dinner Saturday evening.

Q. What are the bathroom 'situations' looking like?
A. Quite a few well maintained porta-pottys

Q. I am not planning to 'run' my truck, can I just show up to see the sites and enjoy the company? Will I have to pay even though I am not running my truck?
A. Gate fee for non participating vehicles is $10. You will not be allowed to drive anywhere but pit road.

Q. How will we identify eachother while out there?? (white T-shirts with user name on it in black marker???)
A. Friendly handshake, and a 'hi I am -----'

Q. Hey trey on the registration website it says maximum of 3 guest..does that mean we can only bring 3 people or only 3 other people in the truck? I was planning on bringing my dad and some other friends of mine to come along for the fun?
A. There is no restriction on the number of guests you can bring. For each car load there is a $10 gate fee though. Everyone inside your Raptor on course is required to have a helmet and seat belt too.

Q. What's the registration website?
A. http://tinyurl.com/raptor-registration If you want shirts please PM me Today. Order is going in.

Q. what's the deadline for registering, please?
A. Saturday Morning at the event. Registration will close at 11 am.

Q. What is security going to be like out there? My dad is concerned about bringing our mountain bikes because he doesn't feel safe just leaving them at the campsite while we're on course. I assume this is a small enough group that we shouldn't have to worry about things like that.
A. There will be people around the pits all day, in general everyone seems very trustworthy at these sorts of events. Ross Creek Trailriders will be out there providing some security and guidance as well. There has never been an issue with theft at the ranch.

Q. How far away is the closest gas station? After running Friday and Saturday I doubt i'll have enough fuel to run Sunday as well. I'm expecting to average 5mph on the track if lucky.
A. The nearest gas station is in Bronte TX. 15 miles from the ranch gate to the gas station.

And for the sweepers to bring all Raptors home, and Sprsnk's parts...

Good idea Trey!

I had couple questions I thought of this weekend.

I thought that I had read somewhere that the ranch has a fire ban. Does that also include charcoal grills?

Second, will there be a compressor available to air tires back up if we air them down for the track? I have one that I keep in the truck for emergency purposes, but if I have to fill all 4 of my tires with it, I'd be there till next weekend.

Third -- do you have any more of those fire extinguishers left?

I can answer the second question.. Sprsnk has a compressor in his trailer, and several other will have them.

I'll have it outside the trailer plugged into the power pole. I also carry a Via Air in the Raptor.
