Thanks guys. You all confirmed what I had thought. Unfortunately, shopping around is not really an option...I live in northern Connnecticut and installers are few and far between. Might just have to scratch this mod off my wish list.

Don't scratch this. Order some vinyl from here and order some knifeless tape and do it yourself. The great thing about it is that you can remove it if you f it up.

You could get 10 by 5 feet just in case for just over $100.

Knifeless Tape - Finish Line

get a roll of this tape and you are golden. If you need help, PM me and I can walk you through the process... and you don't have to take your hood off. Super easy.

Check out this demo of using the tape

I did my focus over the weekend with plasti-dip. Cost was about $30 at the most to do this. I figured I would practice on my focus before I try it on my Raptor. Plus if you really mess up you can just wait for it to dry and peel it off.

That looks good SVTCALI. Where you happy with the results? I like the Plastidip idea becuase if I don't like it I'm only out $25 dollars or so not $200.

That focus looks sweet. Not like the ones you see around here. The blue and black look great. Any other mods? It at looks fast!

Guy quoted me $120 to do it then when I took it up to him he said he mis-quoted and it was going to be $375! Needless to say I passed.

Thank you. No mods besides plasti-dip hood and wheels. It's only my company delivery car and sometimes my commuter car. I plan to plasti-dip the roof and probably design something for a back window graphic of our logo.

I would say I'm pretty happy with the results. It's almost perfect but the only thing that bothers me is the consistency of the darkness of black. There are a few areas that look darker or lighter than the others but it's hard to tell unless you really look at it. I'm sure I could fix it with another solid coat. It was my first time plasti-dipping a large area so it might be my spraying technique. I will say the technique for the line work turned out absolutely perfect though. I can't wait to do my Raptor. I might even order the new "Blaze blue" plasti-dip color and spray over my powder coated wheels just for fun. If it looks stupid I will just take it off.

That sucks. He should have honored the $120 price.

I got a quote today for $288, carrying it to the bottom piece as well. I told the lady, afterwards that they sell the same exact material, 3M Vinyl Scotchprint 1080, for $100 for 50sqft. She said that is impossible because only dealers can sell the product.... I said check their website

So, I am thinking about trying this myself. Any tricks, tools etc.. needed? I can make a lot of mistakes with 50 ft of material.
