I’ve traced my popping to my Deavers. Don’t know the exact mechanism that is causing the pop, but it is annoying. I’m looking for a local leaf spring rebuilder that can perhaps replace the plastic shims between the springs to see if that will get it to stop.

Most likely, the transmission computer “failed to initialize”. Are you tuned? If yea, and you have an access port, simply reset the TCM.
Has happened twice to me in 125k miles. It’s unsettling for sure.
At half the mileage, you will need to get the shocks rebuilt, you should be doing fluids regularly anyway and I’d rather have the peace of mind knowing I did the maintenance or a shop I trust. The ONLY thing I’d make sure of is that the Phasers had been done or you have a warranty that will...
He only difference with 2017 vs 2019 and newer is Live Valve Shocks.
Also, some claim the 2017 turbos are smaller. I’ve never confirmed that, nor do I feel like it’s a big enough difference to matter. Even if true.
I bought my 2017 in 2020 with 50k miles purposefully without a sunroof - so...
I’m in favor of breaks. I take one every two hours or so.
That being said -
Willwood or Alcons. You choose from “big names” that fit under most 17” wheels.
R-1’s require larger wheels, but I can’t remember if it’s 18’s or 20’s?
