Didn’t notice this until reinstalling after my PPE trans pan. Is the skid plate supposed to bend in the middle like this or did the previous owner smash it? It’s pretty close to the new deep pan.

This is normal and bugs the hell out of me. It is why I have not installed my PPE pan yet as I will upgrade skid plates at the same time.

The Raptor skid plate is an exact copy of the regular F150 underbody aero shield (not sure what you would call it). Made of a fiber material. It is for aerodynamics only.

My assumption is engineering said "hey we need one of these made in 3/16 steel" and someone made one exactly like it.

On the fiber version the bow gives it some structure/strength. Which is not needed with the Raptor version. One of the most retarded things I have ever witnessed.
