GEN 1 Panic button disable

Does anyone know if you can disable the panic button on a gen 1? The only time it ever comes into play is when i accidentally hit the button so I’d like to get rid of it but don’t want to kill it on the key fob. Is there a forscan option out there or another way to disable it?

I'd love to do the same... Always hitting the damn thing on accident. Never understood why it was even added as standard equipment.

Same here, on my old Chevy work trucks I'd cut the nubbin off the back of the button so it couldn't make contact but I can't open the keyfob on these
