Buy a simple vehicle wheel boot. Bright yellow, on or off in 10 seconds. Cost about $100. Thieves will see it and avoid the vehicle for something easier. Yes, I know they can be defeated, cut off, etc. But if you're parking somewhere that they can cut, and then disable truck security, you have other issues. Just a thought buy 2?

What I did on my 56 F-100 was there was a spare fuse slot and I ran a wire from there to my coil, basically when I pulled the fuse the coil got nothing engine turned over but no spark. I’d like to hear more about the ravelco I don’t know what that is and never heard of it but I would appreciate any information on it please thank you all

The ravelco can be wired to multiple different components in the vehicle. This guy is just showing a video of the locations he already knew about. Any theft device can really be beat including using a flatbed truck. The best bang for the buck I feel was the Ravelco.
I would be interested to hear if anyone has ever had a Ravelco beaten. I like to read through these theft prevention threads, and I have never heard anyone claim they had a car stolen that had a ravelco installed. Many tales of break ins but not stolen with ravelco.

Highly doubtful. The "professional" thieves (the ones who could actually possibly circumvent a Ravelco) are looking for a quick getaway. Their entire MO is premised on a quick in and out. For example, it took them two minutes and 47 seconds to steal my Gen2 in a hotel parking lot in Houston. In virtually all cases, they are not going to take the extra 4 or 5 or whatever minutes it takes to crack the Ravelco. They are opportunistic, and when they see the Ravelco, they're going to move on to the next one.

one of my previous installs, i did a hidden switch on the obd data wires. since the obd wires terminate at the plug and hardly get used, it doesnt affect the function of the truck. just disables the ability to connect to the truck. only flip the switch if going to dealer or shop where programming is necessary
