I hadn't found specific notes to guide me in finding the Yakima bike rack system that i wanted above my Tonneau Retrax XR model bed cover. Sorry if this thread is already in here and I didnt see it. @CooterCountryRacing gave me good insight and Ive decided to share our matching setups to make it a bit easier for the next fella. Gen 3's, this will work for you too.
You will need:
1) Yakima Landing Pad 1(x2) : Product # 8000221--> https://www.rackattack.com/permanent-custom-mount-roof-rack-systems/yakima-landing-pad-1/
2) Yakima Skyline (1 set of 4 mounts) : Product # 8000148 --> https://www.rackattack.com/factory-roof-mount-rack-systems/yakima-skyline-set-of-4/
3) ... YOUR CROSS BAR OF CHOICE ... I went with yakima Jetstream black Large 70". : Product # 8000427 --> https://www.rackattack.com/roof-rack-load-bars/yakima-70-inch-jetstream-black/
4) Yakima HighRoad Bike Mount : Product # 8002114 --> https://www.rackattack.com/rooftop-bike-racks/yakima-highroad-bike-rack/
I selected these products to work specifically with the Yakima Jetstream model cross bars. If you are using other cross bars, make sure this all works for you. Install was very easy. Did not require any additional products to make this setup work. HighRoad bike mount works great with my mountain bikes. My bike tire specs are 27.5+" (it also works with 29ers) and 2.8 width. No issues. Not a lot of road noise so far, tested to about 60mph. It sits high so if height clearance is an issue, keep this in mind. Overall a very clean look and stable bike mount. 10/10 happy with my purchase. If anyone wants me to try this setup using a Road bike or Tri bike let me know.
