Going to be installing my FTM-300 into my 2013 crew cab in the not too distant future. Open to suggestions for antenna mounts, radio locations, wire routing, wiring, and maybe a few other things I am overlooking. At this time I am tossed up between a A-Pillar mount on the Drivers side, or mounting to the top center of my ADD Chase rack light bar with a tube clamp mount. That way, I get the height advantage, but when I need to park under cover, I can lay the lightbar down and not have to worry about the antenna hitting. I would still need to enter the cab somewhere too. Not against a NMO Mount through the roof, but I lose the advantage of auto lay down with the lightbar. I am planning on running a 2m/70cm antenna something like a Comet SBB15 or Diamond CR320. I have a external speaker and if need be I can get the extension cables. Sort of leaning at putting the body of the radio behind the rear seats, and the head just off of the left side of the dash center storage area. Like I said though, I am not against moving stuff around or even considering other ideas. Photos always help. I have thought a lot about the 3rd brake light mounts and they are kind of up there with the hole in the roof mount, down low on the list, because I want to park in my garage again someday if the wife moves her "stuff".
