How did the scotchguard come out? I have an appt next week to get my front windows tinted and the clearbra on the front. I know it will be worth it, just curious how noticeable it is?

I had the lower part of my hood done and you can see the line there but the rest you'd really have to look. I think the protection outweighs that one area.

What are they charging?

I got a quote of $220 for hood, fenders and mirrors. They wanted $200 more to do the painted piece below the grill.

Tell us more about the 3M clear protection? How long can you leave it on before you have to remove and replace? Thanks...

It wasn't cheap because mine was around $800 and also included the full length of the rocker panels. It's the only place in town and came highly recommended to so I went with it. He also said if you ever have any problems with it, just come on in and he'll fix it no matter what.

For RaptorSV:
It's a 3M urethane film. What they call Scotchgard Paint Protection Film.

Sprayed the AMSOIL MPHD underneath and the MP under the hood (mainly electrical areas) and attached the DBS Bug Screen today. May need to spray a few more areas I missed eventually but overall first coat is done. There is plenty of room under there to just lie on the ground (side or back). No problem.

Bad part now is no driving until that dries as I live down a dirt road. Heck, I've hardly driven it yet...LOL! The time will come though after all my mods are done to unleash the beast on it's first outing. :)

How long does it take to dry?

This is one of the first things I am planning to do upon delivery. I have never done such thing I am going to have to read some threads to make sure I don't screw anything up.

I think it depends on how thick you spray it on but it sounds like a couple days. Mine is definitely a little tacky yet after 20 hours. Might be ok on pavement but I live on a dirt road and it would definitely stick on it. Time for more mods today anyways. I have the rest of my life and its life to drive it.

Installed the WeatherTech Bedliner + Tailgate Liner today and installed the SDHQ ABS/Vacuum Guards.

Deciding what to do next. Still need to get my SDHQ Frame Reinforcement kit installed, my ICON Mid Flaps, Shock Protectors, JLT Oil Catch Can, PDP Flaps and then on to normal prep work for SDBR!
