It's a good idea because you might not like it. I've had a hell of a time settling on an exhaust.
Had the Magnaflow 15588, liked it at first but then not so much over time. Added a reso delete and sounded better but too much drone.
Swapped muffler for dynomax VT keeping delete pipe which sounded great with no drone and nice mellow startup then the valve in the muffler started rattling.
Picked up a corsa sport effectively making it an xtreme with the delete pipe in place which is the best sounding exhaust on a Raptor in my opinion. Just a bit too loud for my tastes and neighborhood. You don't realize how loud it is while driving, even just cruising but have someone drive the truck while you stand outside and it's loud. Way too loud for me on startup as well. Sounds mean as hell but too loud.
So I put the resonator back on and now it's too quiet, LOL. Sounds great on WOT but other than that it's quieter than stock. Thinking about trying a different resonator, maybe vibrant but not sure.
