Can you turn an f150 into a truck as capable as a Raptor? I see one around here with FORD grill, winch, etc, trying to do everything he can to make it look like a Raptor. Almost fools me every time at first glance. Guess you can upgrade suspension, etc, but isn’t our frame beefier? Among other things?
The answer is yes but why would you go through all that trouble when you can just buy it already finished??? Its not like you’d be saving money doing the conversion.

I did it and have zero regrets. I love the weight distribution on F150,I find it a better off road vehicle comparted to the Raptor.

I cant deny the love of the extra power I got from the VMP super charger,
the only thing I miss in the F150 is the 4A.

But keep in the mind that extra power will control your driving. I remember I was always pushing the Gen2 to the limits while doing fast driving in the duns. On the F150 its a different story and it builds speed so fast that you do not need to stay on throttle all the time.

Same, at the end of the day a Raptor is a glorified F-150. You could easily mod a regular F-150 to be as capable, if not more. Raptors look so goood though.
Keep in mind my premise to not spend crazy money. I mentioned I see a, for lack of a better word, poser around where I am. Although he does have a winch so if we both got stuck and there was something to winch from he’d be better off than me.

To not spend crazy money you are getting used parts and installing yourself. But it can be done, I have a buddy working on his right now.

I have a buddy who took a 15 King ranch F150 and made him a runner. It had a 5.0 and he put a supercharger on it and a Currie F9 in the back. Then he used some raptor stuff upfront. And glass front and rear. Turned out pretty sweet. Didnt pay much for the used truck.

That’s the way to do it. Why clone a Raptor? They’re a dime a dozen. Make it cool and unique. Make it yours.
