So far everyone here at Fiesta Ford in Palm Springs, Ca seem very professional and eager to help

Just dropped off my baby for some unresolved issues.

1) high pitched electrical interference coming through the radio speakers when going above 40mph

2) error message: "please remove objects near passenger seat" along with a frayed wire "zapping" sound every few seconds.

3) rear passenger door lock stopped working

This is my 4th time taking the truck in.

First was for a blown vacuum line. Fixed by Star Ford of Glendale

Second was denied a warranty claim by Star Ford of Glendale for a GPS navigation error

Third was an approved warranty repair for the same GPS navigation error done at Ken Grody Ford of La Habra

I'm not worried about having a set of wheels because I have my motorcycle. I just want this work done right.

I just had a very positive experience at my dealership today (Elder Ford of Tampa). I know I read a lot of horror stories here, but you have to understand this is an Internet forum. It attracts people with problems looking for solution, and unhappy customers are a lot more vocal. It's like walking into a hospital and asking "anyone sick here?".

We are less likely to publicize positive experiences, especially if they are within our expectations. I like Ford so far. I'm a Mercedes Benz expatriate, and they set a very, very, very, high bar. Ford doesn't come close, but they are not horrible either. In my experience.

* I have had several SL's, my last was an SL65, fantastic vehicles and dealers were awesome at all levels!

You can get a white glove treatment and a free rental for buying a base model $30,000 C class.

Now try taking your $50,000 pickup truck to a dealership that services $15,000 focus's.:hmmm2:

I can't even get my truck aligned at the Ford dealership over here because it's too big.

Yeah, the MB services are awesome, but we are paying for them. On all models. Ford has too many cheap models and thin margins notwithstanding the Raptor to be able to offer free rentals, free smoothie and coffee bars, and "white glove" treatment. And you know, I don't expect that. I just want to be treated fairly and with respect, and get my truck fixed promptly and correctly. I'll find my own ride (they do have a courtesy shuttle though) and I'll buy my own smoothie.

I recently traded my wife's R350 for an E350. As we walked the lot, I saw an E550 (a $70K car) that the detailer had obviously burned the paint on the hood with a buffer. The car was black, it was out in the sun, and it was as plain as day. I showed the sales rep and he just shook his head. That kinda stuff can happen everywhere.

I read some of the horror stories of techs breaking stuff, scratching stuff, not owning up to it, etc. But you know what? I've read them in every Internet forum I've been in, from Audi to Acura to MB to Mazda to Ford. I guess I live in some sort of fantasy bubble, but it has never happened to me. My service advisor at MB is a saint, and it was because of her I've bought three cars from that dealership. She just takes care of everything. I've never had a problem. Ever. Even with my other cars, I've never encountered unethical behavior. I've had Explorers and Expeditions.

My experience with SALES people has been mixed, but Ford service has taken care of me so far, so I have nothing but good things to say about them. Despite the lack of free smoothies. Although now that I come to think about it, their customer lounge popcorn is a bit on the salty side...

I have the same rear passenger door lock that isn't working. My rear sliding window motor is going out too, I think, since it won't close unless I fully open it and then go to close it. Keep needing to bring it to the dealer, just haven't had the time. Hope you get yours fixed and fixed correctly this time.

* They told me the same exact thing, however if they wiggle the front end for a while the red lasers will connect. They finally got mine to connect and ended up being a fantastic front end alignment after Mid perch. The one tech said they could not do it and that i would need to see the service manager and take it to a truck shop.
