I'm sure everyone see's trucks and ask WHY
So my question is, why wouldn't the owner of this truck just start with a Fx4?

while i don't particularly like the person's taste in mods I really don't think any of them take away from the Raptor's performance. Yes the wheels are a little big but even if they're 20" we're still talking 7.5" of sidewall which on an XL or LT tire will handle mostly anything 90% of owners would put their trucks through.

yes it looks pretty bad but what's wrong with a light bar, winch and knobby mud tires? some of us live nowhere near a desert and it's very appropriate for the mud and woods.

That kind of light "bar" went out of style 30 years ago. It adds no strengh to the chassis and in a roll, would pffer no protection.

The wheels are way too big. Sidewall matter more than you think it does, it adds unsprung weight which does many bad things to performance and ability off road.

we're talking function remember. does the light bar work? yes. does it look like hell? yes. will most people ever bottom out their suspension to push the 20" tire/rim combo to the limit, no. will that truck rip through mud pits and camping trails with plenty of lighting? yes. will it get stuck? not as long as a tree is around to hook the winch to!

To each their own is all I can say. At least its not your raptor. It doesn't look good, but the guy that owns it seems to like it. So be it :Wedgie:

The light bar works, no idea how mudh light it puts out or if it ever gets used.

Will people on 20"s bottom out? probably not. Will you, on 17"s, ever bottom out? Probably not. I have, and you are all missing out

Will it get stuck? Yes. If you air down 35s on 17" rims, the tire will offer more give, and 'flatten' out more without losing too much sidewall. Let 15psi out of 20"s you are riding on rims.
