To be honest, the automobile parts subcontractors around the country are probably like the defense contractors who build the B1 bombers; each state had lobbyists wrangling for those jobs & tax revenues. The gubmint approvals only happened after they received promises of those jobs. Bringing them all back to one state probably won't happen.

except for their self driving. they pretty much stole from mobile eye. we used to sell and install a lot of mobile eye for tesla. then they decided to reverse engineer the mobile eye and started making their own version. if you own a tesla, you might have some of our sound deadening in your doors.......

Don’t believe the hype on the Tesla insourced home baked software. Ford will hire the current developers away from suppliers to develop their software.
