Why does my truck shift in third?

Same , but like fto says i think its more when the trans is heating up. After its at 210 i think it stops doing that.
I'm quite sure I may not have ever seen my transmission temps that high. They're usually right around whatever my engine temp is on the norm. I wanna say around 194-198. Occasionally I see the engine temp around 205 maximum when heading up the/a mountain, but that's about it.

Became used to it, always does it unless you stuff it in first gear.
While the Truck is trying to figure out how to apply torque with its "guess your gear" factory programming, my Dealer just unwrapped their new HP Laptop and are now struggling how to plug it in.
