The main reason the Raptor R is lighter is because it has aluminum body panels, and the only reason it has aluminum body panels is because every F150 has aluminum. The Raptor, and the TRX, are built mostly off of their main product line in order to save a ton on costs.So could the TRX lower weight by tweaking things all over the place? Sure, but it will cost them a ton to do that just for the TRX, particularly on the currently shared parts not unique to the TRX.
