So what brand are the brakes? Who makes them? Are the rotors a 2 piece design?

Well in the world of "big brake" kits $9000 is about right. I have looked into brake kits for my Steeda Mustang and it's around $5000 for just the two front wheels with 6 piston calipers and 14" 2 piece rotors but that is for Bembo brakes which is top shelf products. So these brakes seem to be a bit on the high side if they're NOT "Brembo" brand.

Yeah prices on all these parts can get ridiculous and when you add it all up on what it cost to take these trucks to the "next level" I question my desire to sell and get a 2015 Z06. Doubt it will happen because I love this truck but it'd be one car I would sell it for.

Are they carbon ceramic rotors? Who is the manufacturer? AP Racing? Could we buy just the calipers?

Seems ridiculous but our trucks weigh a hell of a lot more them the usual Honda Civic.

Baer and Brembo sell fronts for $4/5k

Alcons?

Not what I'd make my next purchase but then again I'm the raptor owner on a budget. Not a Sheik or lotto winner

I just bought new rotors and pads from R1 concepts. It hurt to spend the 500 bucks...Can't imagine dropping 9 grand on a brake upgrade....Damn

This is a big heavy truck, for sure. But I also have the R1 drilled / slotted rotors all the way around and their pads, and this thing stops crazy fast. Not sports car fast, but fast enough could certainly be rear ended by others who can't.
