I think you missed the point of my original post, you were criticizing livernois for not making the same amount of power as the tune through Whipple/ford racing or lethal performance, and I brought up one possible conclusion as to why they aren't, it's very likely that the livernois tune has much better reliability than the lethal tune

Maybe that's where we are off I was replying to the comment about ford's tune being the best option for a modded motor. You can get outside the scope of fords tune pretty quick and just bc they spend dough on r&d doesn't mean they are tuning for every scenario or max performance.

On a second note...
Given that different dyno s are either more of less generous depending on the type I'm not sure we are comparing apples to apples. I also wouldn't go as far as to infer one is safer just bc it doesn't make as much power either. For example adding headers will lower boost pressures but makes more power. Less boost pressure is safer on the motor but bc the headers help scavenge you make more power.

Not tryn to flame or hijack your thread bro so ill stop digressing. I'm going to call lethal today and ask them if they are running the small pulley in their dyno vid.

Just wondering if you guys did the tune for this truck?

Yes this was our own tune

To be completely honest, I don't believe Ford Racing has a blower package for the SVT Raptor, so I'm a tad confused by how they were brought up? Is there any questions I can answer to dispel this argument? -Chris

The Tune from Whipple was calibrated by a Tier 1 Ford engineer not Ford Racing but was dyno at Ford Racing's facility.

Two different divisions!

And I believe Livernois does not use the 3.375 pulley (to keep boost levels down) and the Twin 65mm Cobrajet Throttle body to get 520 rwhp. (on this build)
Nor does this build have the Livernois cams and heads either, which would bring it to 600+ rwhp.

Andy will probably confirm this when he reads this.

Sorry, lol, ford still made the tune program

And it's still a company capable of devoting untold amounts of time and money towards the project, unlike a tuning shop

Thanks Livernois for posting this video, we receive a number of requests for HP numbers and sound with our long tube headers, lightning style exhaust and of course the Whipple. I was surprised to see it really wasn't all that loud even with the addition of the supercharger. The power numbers seem great for a daily driver w/o being overkill, again nice work Livernois.

I bought the tune from Whipple, it's the so called " Ford Racing" tune. The tune was garbage, lots of surging, knock, and the list goes on. On completing their order sheet and listing all my mods such as headers, 37" tires and such you would think that the tune they charge $500 for would compensate.
Was lucky enough today to have Jon Lund tune my truck, based on the strategy code he could not even figure out who or what tune I had installed.
I see a lot of sheets showing 500+ RWH, I didn't get those numbers. The Dyno used at Evolution is a Mustang, it simulates load and we punched my weight in at 7000 lbs.
From my baseline to Lunds tune I picked up 170 more FTLbs of torque at 3750 RPM.
The surging has stopped and the truck runs like a bat out of hell.
