Like the title says, what's the deepest everyone's been through?

I just got the raptor a lil while ago so this is my first winter with her. Already took her out onto some unplowed roads that were around 14-16" of fresh snow and she did great. But I want to know whats the deepest I could even think about going on the stock BFG's.

Yea I fiqured that, lately it been really cold so more so light and fluffy, but I would imagine the wet and heavy would really limit it.

I have busted drifts well over the hood of my truck, but yes it was light and fluffy and I knew how fast I needed to be going from years of playing in the snow. Having grown up in an area always hit with lake effect snow and living on a north south road that would literally drift shut I have always been able to see what trucks can and can't go through. Most of the time its not keeping the momentum going forward that stops most, these trucks will plow snow with the front end you just need to watch out for over heating cause of lack of airflow. With hard packed snow like on the side of a road or field you can easily high center the truck and get stuck quickly.

I have not taken mine through any deep snow yet but I'll be curious to see what others have done. I know how much my old Bronco can handle and to me it's always been not how much snow you can bash through at speed but how much snow you can stop and start in and get places. I would hope at least 24-30" but at some point you might need some weight in the back.

Yea my worry is getting high centered going through a drift, but if the front end will essentially plow the way Then I should OK. Just trying to judge the max of what she can do.

With drift busting "when in doubt throttle out" your much more likely to need the speed to carry you through it then to slow down and try and creep through. Also though be careful as to not let the drift pull you off the road into the deeper packed snow, two hands for the steering wheel put the bud light down lol jk. But these are big heavy trucks and can/will go through a lot with a little practice and understanding/respect for the vehicle.

12-18" for me, but it was really heavy wet snow, wind hardened drifts, and about 2 degrees out. Got it run up to about 40mph before I hit it and only made it 100yards or so before I high centered and spun out. Got pics I'll throw up when I get home.
