correct maxx, and also, its the magnet weight that is the issue. if the magnet get jolted in a funny direction, it can destroy the speaker. shallow mount woofers are not so much affected by this. it just happened recently with someone who came into our shop. he dropped his box and the woofer casting broke all the way around. the reason i fire them upward is because most impacts will pull the woofer down into the box. and with the tolerances i have in there, if you break a woofer or a box of mine, you have a lot more serious problems then the box and woofer.
