Looking for opinions on which fog light kit to buy? Please share opinions and experiences. Are any of them right to use as a nightly light while driving to town or sob right theyre off road only like the light bars?

Thanks for the input, I'm very undecided, please post pics!!!

With the M&R some get away with wiring them separately and using only one pair when lowered a bit. But legality wise they are for "offroad use only"

Legally yes, but are they to the point that it blinds other drivers? Its a lot of cash if I can't use them most of the time. If this is the case I might prefer the light bars. We get a lot of fog here and was hoping to do spot and flood patterns, possibly mixed with amber.

Do you plan on getting an after market bumper? If so i would go with some hood mount lights that way you won't lose when you change it out. :hmm:

If you're using them on the road, go with the Rigid D2 Driving set, or the Baja Designs Squadron kit. We have both at 10% off, check out our thread!

I have the D2s and love them but they are to bright i think for on road use. dont now about the squadron kit. the duallys would be fine i think.

Yeah if you think the D2 are too bright the squadrons would be ridiculous. However the good thing we like about the D2 is the cut off of the driving pattern. The Duallys do not have this they only have the round flood and narrow spot patterns. I would highly advise of not using a spot pattern on the road

I'm loving the rigid dually's fog kit from James@alternative. Running strong for a year now and use the ambers every night as running lights.the dually kit is Plenty bright enough on-road. Beyond OEM, any brighter might raise police eyebrows. As it is, I aim my spots left and right so oncoming traffic doesn't get blinded straight ahead. I get flashed every once in a while by picky drivers with having my amber floods on but nothing to worry. Amber helps my eyes out great at night with or without the need for fogs to be turned on. The Thing I mainly didn't care for with M&R's light kit is there isn't an option to have ambers. Last I heard, they only offered whites. M&R can chime in on that matter...... If I had seen the value going D2's at the time of purchasing, I would have. Now, if I was to do things over, I would have went D2's as you can never have enough lighting offroad and I seen first hand the brightness their D2's put out.
