Message: <blockquote data-quote="Old-Raptor-guy" data-source="post: 1917949" data-attributes="member: 52062">They are not quick release, they are quick connect.  Manufactures have no investment into how fast a fitting can be released/removed.  Their investment is in how fast it can be connected and assembled.  Also most if not all have a tactile "feel" when properly when assembled correctly, this is so the assembly line worker can "feel" when the fitting is installed correctly because the factory can be loud and the worker can't always hear the snap/click when connected.Sorry if I am being an ass, 35 years of dealing with those things.  Digging dirt out of them (mostly on the frame/fuel tank) to get them to release and you quickly figure out, they didn't invent them for me (the mechanic) they invented them for themselves.</blockquote>
