Did the obligatory rear differential / spicer cover/ lube locker change. Hardest part was cleaning mating surface on the diff. Nothing shiny in the oil.
Why’d you go w/ spicer instead of ford performance cover? I wish front was easier to access & could do a similar cover I’ve seen people weld a **** for drain hole…I could probably just get a lube locker gasket for the front diff & just leave it on permanently & just suck the fluid out….

Allegedly the spicer is the exact same molding as the ford performance but it’s $110 cheaper. Ford has enough money.

I’ve seen on the inter webs that ppl just suck the fluid out of the front and refill. I don’t know if that’s a good idea since it won’t get the crud out at the bottom if there is any.

I pulled the intake side and the intake manifold MAP sensors out and cleaned them with some electrical cleaner. Both where dirty but the MAP sensor in the rear manifold was black as night covered in oil. Also cleaned the IAT sensor.

Still waiting on my JLT catch can to show up. I did change the PCV valve last weekend and noticed I have the hairline driver side valve cover crack. Truck is still under warranty, but I'm thinking, should I just throw some JB weld or plastic Epoxy on the crack and call it a day or deal with my crappy Ford service department that will most likely keep my truck for a week for a 2 hour job and take 8 weeks to get a valve cover.

Weather is finally going to be decent here in ETX. Plans for this weekend are new sway bar bushings, end links, front slotted & drilled rotors and pads, x-pipe and the last revision to my Goose tune all getting done.

But today I had to have my window replaced. Got really cold here in TX last week like down in the teens and it cracked. Window guy said it looked like the heating element for the wipers is what caused it because the crack started right where the wires plug into the glass. We left that unplugged on the new glass.
