Back in the day there was a shop in Connecticut that did one of a kind engine swaps. Local resident Paul Newman had them do an LS swap Volvo wagon in some random boring color so he could drive around anonymously yet he could outrun anybody trying to follow him. So you never know what a "grocery getter" is capable of.
Thats a ford 5.0l not an LS in that engine pic.
Many years ago i did a similiar swap in a Volvo wagon without the supercharger that one has. It was a ton of fun to drive.

Waiting on the new fuel rail fuel line before I can connect the #7&8 wires and coils, then the top end is done. The D-side manifold heat shield (the one with the tiniest little screws) is now rust-free and back on.

Did you have to get a new line to get the clip?

The clip is pressed onto the line, so it is only available with it. I just don't want to E V E R worry about 50psi fuel spraying down on the exhaust manifold while the engine dies and I'm trying to get off the highway while 70mph traffic zooms by.

I agree 100%. It's an expensive part, but very cheap insurance.
