I wasn't sure what size tank I was going to run, but you think dual 400's would be better than the ARB Twin? I don't have a spare or bracket in the OEM location anymore, so there's tons of space to mount things back there.

the arb twin puts out .5cfm more than the dual 400c. but at $600 is it worth the price difference? i have had mine in the bed of my truck for 5 years now. other than patching a leak on the air line one otr twice a year, they continue to still work.

The selling point of a tank versus a compressor is that you get max pressure NOW. You can also move it to the tire, or transfer it to another vehicle in seconds. If I'm camping maybe I want the compressor, but if I'm moving fast, or if anyone in the group is nursing a slow leak on the way home and needs to borrow it? The tank wins, as long as I can get it refilled locally.

And the most important upgrade.... SYNC 2 to SYNC 3 swap. Man does all that stuff bring this truck into the 2020's. Apple Carplay is a must at this point. The new USB hub actually is useful for charging your phone too!

OOORRRRR..... Use a compressor hooked up to a smaller tank. Best of both worlds. I have my ARB twin mouted behinf the rear driver side seat. Need to find a suitable place to install a tank thats fairly hidden to do just that.

my tanks are always full so i dont run into that problem. there are pros and cons to each setup. as a compressor setup theres always leaks that pop up over time. gotta chase them down. have to drain water out of the tanks, also more expensive than a c02 tank. on the tank side, you always have to fill and the possibility of running out of co2. the bottle will ice over after prolonged use. i prefer the compressor setup because i fill multiple vehicles at offroad events, and i kinda have a train horn.

That's my thoughts too. Compressor with a tank means air reserve, plus refillable. Once that portable tank runs out it's out, you ain't refilling it when you're not in town. Rather have the best of both worlds of capacity, plus refill on the go.

I was thinking of running two of them with an air tank. You think 1 is enough?

One is enough for my use. I filled 7 tires while my son in law did the 8th with his POS compressor. Didn't time it, but it didn't take long.

The CO2 tank / air compressor debate is always settled when someone has an engine driven York setup. Nothing tops one of those as far as how well they deliver air. Only drawback is the install. I know because I have one on my early Bronco.

I think if you are going to do a lot of airing up and down, two would be better. that and if you want to use tools.
